We started this business really out of a passion for cars and the need for more income through our detailing business.

It was early 2014 when my beautiful wife Stephanie told me we were pregnant. Living in a rent house in Pryor, we didn’t want to bring our baby home to that setting; we wanted something nicer. Just a few days later, I learned the company I was working for was closing down, and not only was a job search underway, but preparations for our baby were in full swing.

Fortunately, I was blessed with clients and friends who hired me for professional detailing services, and by taking on as much overtime as possible, we were able to find a better rental house closer to my wife’s parents near Vinita. Before the plant closed, I managed to secure another job. So before the official notice of my layoff came, I was already in the process of transitioning to my new role.

In October of 2014, our sweet little Payton arrived. Words cannot begin to describe how grateful we were to be blessed with such a little angel, and little did we know how true that word would become. Payton had a stroke in the womb, which we wouldn't discover until he was 2.5 months old, explaining all the seizures he experienced. Payton underwent his first brain surgery at 6 months old and, at 18 months, another rare procedure known as a hemispherectomy. Unfortunately, Payton was never seizure-free and suffered from intractable epilepsy for the remainder of his life.

Throughout his life, my wife and I did everything possible for Payton. We traveled from Oklahoma to Memphis for his care, managing the complexities of oxygen, trach, and eventually a central line for TPN feeds.

I had to walk away from two jobs because, ultimately, my choice to be a husband and a father forced me into a decision.

SO I DID.

In late 2019, I transitioned to full-time detailing. After working 60-80 hours per week at a full-time job on swing shifts while detailing in the evenings and weekends, I decided to focus solely on mobile detailing services. At that time, I was operating in a small area of Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Missouri.

I was honored to be invited to work on the Barrett Jackson 2020 Scottsdale team, detailing vehicles for multiple celebrities. When the pandemic hit, our mobile detailing business saw significant growth. We expanded into 20 states and continued to thrive. We now regularly maintain vehicles in five states and have served customers in 23 states.

Additionally, during 2021 and 2022, I had the pleasure of working with the Mecum Auctions team, detailing cars at multiple auctions before stepping back for Payton’s health.

Tragically, Payton passed away on January 13, 2025. Since then, my wife and I have been navigating our lives. We now both travel to detail, actively participating in the Mecum collections team, prepping cars for auction, and traveling for large events. We’ve also showcased our work at equipment shows for renowned brands like Bobcat and Vermeer.
